WTF? Coolness XD (also Header + Shoutbox)

New Things Coming Up

So what do we see.
A new layout!
But just temporary, we, I try to come up with something more interesting and unique.

So, until Masaki and our mysterious new member have internet access again, Tee (scroll down and see her new entry!!) and me will ROG THE BLOG, I guess. ;)

That's what I produced a few minutes ago.
Some unfinished, Benjamin-ish speckles of colour.
I know it's no good to copy some other artist that much,
but I just bought "Remember" recently and was totally blown away!
I realised that I so need to practise more.
And I was frustrated, why on earth are all the nice Skullcandy Lowrider Headphones only avaible in the States?!

Eh, well, people.
Stay tuned!

So, time for me to contribute something to our beloved Blog. Though I can't stand that layout anymore, to be honest...

Very old:

Very new: (it's university sketch, lol)

And you know what? .......I totally don't have time left, sorry xD;;;
If I ever start drawing again, you'll see something serious. If. Will. Yep.
*rushes away*

Greetings from China

The same as in Switzerland - art made during class.

Current project. I already have the lines on paper, but no traditional media, no scanner and only a low-quality cam. This is the result after one-hour CGing. Well, everyone has something he does when he's bored, right?

...is there anyone beside Franziska and me watching this blog? WHERE ARE MY FUCKING BLOGMATES???
;A; I'll start thinking about an own sketchblog...

Holiday sketches

I don't know why, but during my vacations in Norway I drew more than the two monthes before. Mostly uninteresting things, but I like these two ones:

During the flight Zurich - Stockholm. It's Henke, if anyone remember him.

And Yoko. I repainted the eyes about 10 times and it still doesn't work. I still lack basics, aaargh.
But it's different from my usual drawing style anyway.

Now some random things:

Yes, I DO love "manga"nizing mascots. Flix (or was it Trix? Who cares) for European Cup in Switzerland. I've got some Fuwa-Sketches, but no time to scan.

It was raining outside and there was a blank sheet of paper.

Some WIPs from my last submission (Hoshi no Koe) on Animexx (http://datamexx.onlinewelten.com/himitsu/bd1bf0bdbe69a6ccd03dc7085b3565f3/48af1c8a/fanarts/13/82313/1345125.jpeg)
Take a close look on the clouds. And I was too lazy to color the bottom, shame on me.

I've started reading Eyeshield again. Fucking Awesome.
I can't wait for the next artbook! Much much love for the drawings, not so much love for
the plot. If Deimon win, it's all little too much Gary Stu. But I don't care, Murata's still the best.
By the way, I'm working on my "baby" again, means I'm trying to rewrite "Boardercross"...
it's hard, since I know exactly what I DON'T want but dont have clue what I DO want.

Eh well, I never want Weeaboo to die, that's why I keep posting and talking these useless things. xD"Uhm. I'll be staying in China the next term, but I'll still draw and post things here, so don't give up on us!

Bleach Women x HYD

My brain doesn't work anymore, so some random-no-OC-sketches from the past few weeks:

1) Somewhere between my old French notes, there was a Hina-Sketch, and I thought, MAN, I must be able to draw her better now.
2) Just wanted to test the new ballpen (with four colors!awesome). I didn't have any intentions but it reminds me of the Rukia-nearly-died chapters of the Hueceo Mundo arc
3) You might have already forgotten her...but she and her dumb brother are two of my favourite characters! Kuukaku, please appear in the "Turn back the Pendulum"-arc ;o; (in the manga, her right arm is missing...eeeh, you didn't thought, it was my lazyiness, did you?)
4) ballpen + stabilo, because copics and ballpen-lines don't get on well together.

Gnaaaah, why is Matsujun-Doumyouji so hard to draw??? It's the second try, but it looks dumb as ever. Anyway, this is the evereverLAST thing I've drawn during classes. Kind of nostalgic...it was dark, we were watching a film in English classes ("One flew over the cuckoo's nest"). It must have been quite a funny movie regarding the reactions of my classmates, but I was rather in HYD-mood, haha. I thought I drew Nia (TTGL) somewhere...M.I.A. :O

Anyway I'm talking to much, and this post is quite boring, because there're only faces and no special expressions. But I just wanted to take my mind off math. Now back to work...

Uhm.

I drew them in my last arts lessons. So they're really old. The teacher wasn't there, we were allowed to leave, but I stayed with a few others, because I wanted to take this last chance.

Quatro-real Rukia. Messed up her nose.

For Mother's Day. Can you read it?

And this one is from today...

...it's so crappy, that I feel thick. Since my exams I can't draw anymore...something's gotten wrong with me. And Masaki, you still haven't seen Saturn, have you? Are you ignoring it or what?

Life is drama.

I won't stop till you drop! Fufufu, I know I was the one who said I won't post for a month, but actually I've some things to show. (IF YOU WISH, HIT ME)

The first one to tell me his name gets Saturn from me. Very sketchy, but I think, the important things are visible. Took me about an hour with GT and Paint.NET, one layer for the background, other layer for the rest.

Orz, I got addicted to Bambino!. I started watching the drama because of Matsumoto Jun, but I began to like all the other characters, too. Katori reminds me of Suwabara from Yakitate!Japan, heh. Coincidence?

Ok, just to make it not so fandom-like, here something interesting: (maybe)
About a month ago, I started to maintain a special notebook. It contains pictures that I collected from newspapers and magazines...having in mind, they'll be useful to me one day, maybe giving me some inspiration.

For example animals and scenes from daily life around the world...

...buildings...

...fashion...

...etc., etc.

It's already half filled...and it already proved to be helpful, so I can recommend it, if you haven't started with something like that yet. (I MYSELF SHOULD HAVE DONE THAT MUCH EARLIER)

Uhm yeah.

Before cutting the ropes

I really feel like summer at the moment...or rather I'm yearning for the summer to come.

This was supposed to be my entry for a contest. Animexx looked for a new fanart with its mascots for the Fanart welcome page. But I couldn't finish it in time...or rather I didn't wanted anymore, because I got scared by the competition. And even though I like Kamina/Yuki, I got Yoko/Aiko all wrong. I'm very curious about the winners.

Yo, this is all I've drawn in the two weeks of my spring break. I was inspired by this shot of Mischa Barton in the February 08 shedule of InStyle. I tried to mix with 30s- and streetstyle...and messed up. I shouldn't have used water colors. Or should I say I really have to practise more?

Anyway, this is my last entry before my graduation. Now it's up to the other two to keep this Blog alive! *_*;

GO GO GADGET SHOUNEN DRAWING!

What's going on here...nobody posting and nobody commenting. Is everyone THAT busy? ;_;
So now I've got some Shounen stuff, ZOMG.

One Day I made a decision: To start drawing in Shounen-style. And this was the first sketch after taking that step. (Guess by whom I was inspired...)
That day (some time in...2004/5?) I was thick of not-knowing my own path and all the rest. So I just made this decision from one day to another. Kind of weird, and today, I would never do that. I just draw, what I think would show a part of myself, either it's shounen, shoujo or someting in between. Mmmhm, I noticed, that I have a very self-centered attitude, when it comes to drawing mangastories. Unlike Hina, I draw to make people happy, so I can feel happy myself, or e-eh, I can't explain it well. But she has my full respect, because she wants to draw things that make other people stronger. Very admirable.

These are characters from a, rather Shounen-like, original story. It's about the heaven beneath our feet ;). Maybe I'll rewirte the story for the next German Shounenmanga compilation. (btw, today they finally arrived! It really felt amazing to see your own story in a book. And a little embarassing, because I had to think of all the people who read my shit, gaaah. Next time I'll do it MUCH better.)
Eh...how do you write "Nande"? "なんで"? Or should I say Nanda? Arr, I need someone to teach me proper Anime Japanese xD Ah yes. I LOVE skates. Beautiful animals.

And I'm talking a way too much, I'm sorry! But...I haven't been talking online for a week, so please, be merciful. And yes I'm finished. I've got EVEN MORE things I'd like to post, but first I'd like to hear some feedback to both entries, pleaaase ;o;

Did I say Shounen?

Hmm, ok, this time something in between.

Tami has given me a wonderful illustration (under "Bao" - "Gifts")
Ichigo turned out weird, but I've never been able to draw him. It looks really messy, but it took me "only" about half an hour, so this isn't bad...for me xD" *thinks of all the hundreds of people who are faster AND better* First time I drew Chadooou, lol.

Then some fanart of "Baccano!" (more about the Anime here [German])

Drawn in German lesson. Oh my German teacher is a real monster. One of my classmates got suspended till Spring Break at the end of April, because she wanted to show a little bit of her non-existent autority. AND I'D LOVE TO GET SUSPENDED TOO. Anyway, sorry for this Spam-Entry D:

Something you've never expected.

Animexx, the German Manga/Anime-community is still down, so I switched my priorities. I didn't came to draw a lot the last few days. Rather NOTHING. The following sketch of Rukia from Bleach is about two weeks old, drawn in German lessons. (they're so boring and unnecessary)

Some other stlye. As an explanation, I wanted to draw a realistic eye, but endet up with drawing Rukia's haircut...and all the rest. Yep.

WHAT THE HELL IS THAT, IS WHAT YOU'RE THINKING.

Fanart of , "Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne" by big-sparkle-shoujo-eyes-#1-mangaka Arina Tanemura. I must have been around 11 years old, when I watched the first episode. And I have to admit it - I really liked it xD It suited a young girl like me perfectly. But I'm not a young stupid girl anymore, haha. But lately, I had a kind of "nostalgic flashback". I looked for old Anime songs and so on. And just at that time, a friend of my mother's gave me a present: Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne Vol. 5. (no idea, why she got THAT idea 8D) After reading it again, I read all the rest online in one. And I had an enourmous motivion to draw some fanart. I rememberd myself cracking down from just COPYING an illustration by Tanemura-san.

But now you see, they look really different, but like my personal style. (I mean, I hope so) I tried to let them look more adult...or realistic, whatever. Chiaki is fail, unfortunately xD And yes, I also tried to imitate the famous Tanemura-eye xD It's harder than it looks like!

I'm content with the lines. Even though some parts of her body are really wrong. Didn't pay attention to that. But as I said, the lines turned out comparatively well, that's why I'm gonna color it.

Hmm, that's all. Wanted to draw some more Campus Lagann, but no time. D:
This weekend is full of events. Hinas birthday, Leipzig book fair (Arrr, I get teary-eyed, when I think of last year) and not to forget, Tee is having her last exams! And she can't afford to miss a second time, that's why I wish her all the best! >w< Hopefully, she'll be able to post something after them. ;_; And I myself will be stucked in my room and will be trying to save my grades in economics. 8D Raaaah.

Last words: heh, you really didn't expect that, RIGHT? xD
Lastest words: NO I DO NOT READ ARINA TANEMURA ANYMORE.

Whole bunch of women

As I promised, Originals!

I drew this one on the flight from Zurich to Tokyo. I love flying, I love watching the sky and the clouds, I love feeling the wind blowing through my hair. Her extremities are too long...I didn't pay attention to that. AND her neck is too thick, my old all-time-mistake. D:"

This one has to do with my holidays as well. I was really inspired after walking around in Shibuya and Shinjuku. It's funny, most girls in Japan wear skirts all the time, while you see that very rarely in Switzerland or in the West in general. Must have something to do with school uniforms. (But the English don't were skirts as well...hmm.)
Legs are a big short, but I just had to draw the shoes, and there wasn't much space left xD""
I've seen those shoes in Shinjuku ;_; Oh if I just had the opporutnity to go shopping there...I would be run out of money right now. xD I added a bit gothic style.

Her jacket is inspired by this piece by John Galliano and Christian Dior from 1997. Very interesting cut. I really love fashion, mmmhm, if you only could make money with it for sure... ;_;

This one was made in history lessons:

I should draw something Shounen/ more dynamic for the next time...but I'll be very thankful for every opinion on this.
[heart.bmp] (stolen from Maski, mwahaha...but these hearts are love *o*)

Gurren Lagann Tsunami!

I just have to process with Gurren Lagann. Masaki should be done with it now as well, so I don't have to fear spoilering anyone. (else than Tee xD" Sorry!) Man, I even draw in school again.

Physics:

;_; Nnnn. That was the sadest part. Or, äääh, the only one I had to cry. Or maybe I just cried, because TTGL ended. Bah, GARlock doesn't look like GARlock at all. But I like how Nia turned out.

Economics:

Have I ever mentionned how much I love to draw her? It's always fun. *_* One day, I learn to draw her rifle properly. Or her full body.

So I'm now working on the copic version of the TTGL-sketch from my last entry. And I thought, a little "Making of" would be interesting.

Step 1: What the heck is this?? It's a do-it-yourself light table (germ.: Leuchtpult). You only need a pane of class, a lamp that'd fit underneath and some thick mangas. ;D

Step2: And why the heck a light table?? Hmm, I liket the pencil lines, so I decided to copy the lines and not to work on the original in my sketchbook. Put a new sheet of paper over it and trace the lines.

Step 3: The result. The lines don't look lively at all, but that doesn't matter, you going to outline it anway. (I didn't put any efforts in Kamina...uah.)

Step 4: Now I traced the lines with an Edding. You can already see some Tippex as well, haha.

Step 5: I started coloring with Yoko. When I color, I don't follow any shema, it's a big chaotic. But I (almost) always start with the lightest colour and add the darker tones, like most people would do. This time, I used opaque white for the briliance in the hair.

Step 6: Hmm, nothing to add.

Step 7: Nearly finished. The background is still missing. But I corrected the head sizes a little, Yoko's head was like 10 times bigger than Shimon's and Kamina's.

And now, fianlly: I'm proud to present TTGL Challenge #2!!

So that's what you get, Masaki XD"" Looking forward to your answer *o* Sorry for my creepy handwriting.

Yeah, I'm finished now. Seems like some of you'd like to see more Originals. So I'm sorry for this entry. I've got some Originals here, but this entry is long enough. I'll post them tomorrow, so see you!
